Body length reaches approximately 35-37 cm, tail 11-12 cm coloring is mainly green. Chest and upper part of the neck of the wine-red color with borders of black and blue. Black feathers bord out the head and back. Red beak and bridle.
It lives in the northeast of Argentina, the southeast of Brazil and the southeast of Paraguay.
Detail tropical selts, forests, pine forests, mountain slopes to a height of 500 are inhabited—2000 m above sea level.
