Body length 20 cm; Weight 54—60 g. This is the most beautiful parrot in a kind. He is especially beautiful in flight. The coloring of the plumage is green. Back and abdomen light green. The upper chest and the crown have a bluish tint. The front of the head, cheeks, forehead and throat are light gray. The bend of the wing is dark blue, its lower side is in the front of the bright orange color. The beak is light. Males and females have the same color, but males have a very strong beak and a larger head.
Live in Peru and Western Ecuador.
There are 3-4 eggs in the masonry. The chicks appear after 4 weeks, at about the end of 2 months they fly out of the nest.
