Body length 26 cm, tail 10 cm. The coloring of the plumage is karmino-red. The back of the head, stomach and bandage on the neck of a purple-blue color. The top of the fly-shaped secondary feathers are brown-hourly.
Live in the Molucca Islands and in Western Indonesia.
Inhabit wet tropical forests and mangroves.
