Body length is 21-22cm. Very modestly painted. The main color of the plumage is olive, the stomach and chest are yellow. Bottom abdomen sometimes with a reddish raid. On the forehead is a blue strip reaching the eyes and cheeks and turning into blue. The tail from the bottom is yellow, from above the swamp-blue. The bend of the wing is blue. Secondary flowering blue. The primary flums are blue. On the inside of the wing there is a small white strip. Gray paws. The beak is dark gray. The iris brown. The female is paler.

Lives in South and Western Australia.

Settled off the coast of rivers, not moving away from the water further 100m, in places devoid of shrub and wood vegetation, in mangroves, lagons, rocky areas. A subtle bird, it is difficult to see it, as it is hidden in the dense grass. Flies only at short distances.

Padnces of these parrots are excavations in rocky berahs.
