Body length is about 20cm painting green green. Blue forehead with blue bordering. The front zone is yellowish. Brush and chest — Olive-bolot. The subsidiary and the bottom of the abdomen are yellow, on the abdomen below the al-orange spot. The bend of the wing is purple. The beak is gray. The iris brown. Gray paws. The female is paler. Blue forehead. The stain on the abdomen is less and less pronounced. Some females have a white strip on the inside of the wing. It is always absent in males.
Lives in the southwest of Tasmania; In the winter in the south and southeast of the new South Wales, in Victoria, on King Island.
The coastal zones are inhabited, with low vegetation, meadows, marsh, swamps, lagons with low trees, are found in the fields of sunflower.
The nests are arranged in November-December in the hollies of eucalyptus. In the masonry 4-6 eggs. Running lasts 21 days, at 38 days the young leave the nest.
Very rare. In the early 1990s, in the wild, there were about 200 individuals. In Australia, it is protected by law.
